LB Women's Basketball knocks off Chemeketa 69-46 in their first conference matchup of the season
In their first conference matchup of the season, LBCC’s Women’s Basketball team knocked off Chemeketa 69-46. Following the win, the Roadrunners improved to 14-1 on the season. Chemeketa traveled to the Activities Center at Linn-Benton on Jan 14 hoping to knock off LBCC, ranked No. 6 in the NWAC standings. The Storm came into Albany with a 7-8 record on the season while the Roadrunners aimed to win their 12th straight game. Junior forward Brooklynn Hankwitz led the team in scoring with 13 points while shooting over 50% from the field, while guard Kathleen Hale put up 7 points and brought in a whopping 15 rebounds for the Roadrunners. LB point guard Ruby Krebs said, “Each quarter we kind of reset our mindset.
